How it works

A gentle walkthrough of preparing your cup and taking photographs that can be interpreted well.

Prepare your cup

1.Finish the Turkish coffee, leaving the grounds at the bottom.
2.Place the saucer over the cup.
3.Traditionally, hold the cup and move it in a circular motion three times while stating your name and the intention or insight you are seeking.
4.Turn the cup over carefully.
5.Allow the grounds to settle and cool. To check it has cooled, place the back of your hand on the top of the cup.
6.Turn the cup upright.
7.Photograph the inside from four different directions.
